Miami Hurricanes are in the stages of finalizing a 2013 home game against Savannah State, according to the Miami Herald.
The Hurricanes currently have non-conference games scheduled against Florida Atlantic, Florida and Southern Florida.
“UM is philosophically trying to move toward an easier non-conference schedule,” Herald writer Barry Jackson wrote Monday.
Miami finished 7-5 (5-3 ACC) this season and self-imposed a bowl ban in an effort to thwart pending NCAA sanctions related to recruiting violations.
Savannah State (1-10) played against two FBS opponents in 2012: Oklahoma State (84-0 loss) and Florida State (55-0 loss).
