HawkCentral.com reported on Thursday running back Greg Garmon was granted his release from the school, and will ultimately transfer to a different university.

The 6-foot-1, 200-pound Eria, Pa. product rushed 38 times for 122 yards, and caught eight receptions for 57 yards in his freshman year this season. He is a former four-star recruit, and held offers from several schools such as Arkansas, Florida State, Michigan, Ohio State, Texas A&M, and West Virginia, among others.

If Garmon transfers to another FBS program, he will sit out an entire season. However, if he transfer to a FCS program, he is eligible to play in 2013.
