Every smug football broadcaster who uses kickers for hacky joke fodder, beware San Jose State punter and kicker Harrison Waid. The Spartan specialist caused quite a commotion on social media when he was ejected from his team’s game at Minnesota Saturday.

Waid took exception to an aggressive block in the fourth quarter. Here’s the animated GIF via friends of the site, MWCConnection.com:

The instigating Gopher should have known better; Waid gained notoriety in SJSU’s Military Bowl win last December when he lost his temper following a late hit.

Though Waid may have given kicker humorist pause, not everyone is impressed. Former Minnesota Viking Chris Kluwe sounded off via Twitter.

Another individual unlikely to appreciate Waid’s actions? SJSU head coach Ron Caragher. Should the two-way special teams contributor earn himself a suspension, it puts San Jose State in an unenviable position, beginning the Mountain West Conference season next week against Utah State.
