Vegas SEC Predictions Week 3

Saturday Blitz SEC Predictions Record Last Week: 12-0 (21-2 Overall)

The boring week is over. After the SEC simply laughed in our faces last week by promoting their new network and exposing themselves all over TV with a bunch of sleeper games, the conference has quite a few intriguing match-ups this weekend. And finally, the SEC on CBS kicks off this weekend, which is obviously when the college football season truly begins.

The most exciting game is obviously Georgia-South Carolina, which is the kickoff game for the SEC on CBS. With a national title on the Dawgs mind and South Carolina still trying to regroup after its opening loss to Texas A&M, this is always an intriguing match-up that often produces thrillers.

Arkansas-Texas Tech, Tennessee-Oklahoma, and UCF-Missouri could all be games worth watching this weekend, and don’t sleep on Kentucky-Florida either. Unfortunately, outside of Georgia, the elites of the SEC once again filled their schedules with cupcakes this weekend, but at least there are some games worth tuning into.

More from Alabama Crimson Tide

The conference still looks really good in Power Five match-ups this year so far thanks to Week 1, when Vanderbilt was the one team that managed to embarrass itself out of conference. But it’s Vanderbilt. Everybody else has looked good so far, including against top mid-major teams like Tennessee has done against Utah State and Arkansas State.

With Arkansas and Texas Tech and Tennessee and Oklahoma the conference has a great chance to assert its dominance even further this weekend, or it could allow the gap to be bridged. The Missouri match-up against UCF is a game against a non-Power Five school that the SEC needs to win to keep that gap wide as well.

The slate this weekend in the SEC isn’t loaded with great games, but there are enough to keep any college football fan interested, so enjoy where the best football is still played.

Here are our Week 3 Vegas SEC Predictions.
