The Iowa Hawkeyes are looking to regroup after an embarrassing loss to the in-state rival Iowa State Cyclones last Saturday. To be fair, by Big Ten standards, it wasn’t that embarrassing, but it still looks bad since Iowa State lost to an FCS school to open the season. The Hawkeyes now have another chance to redeem themselves for the Big Ten by finally putting together a decent outing that impresses the fans, which they have yet to do all of this season. It’s about time they show something to prove that they are ready to compete with Wisconsin for the Big Ten West title.

The Pittsburgh Panthers, meanwhile, are looking far better than expected with such a young team. A 3-0 start may have been expected, but it looks a lot better now since one of those wins was against a Boston College team that beat USC last weekend. Pitt has so much young talent that will be playing together for the next three years, so it can only go up, and right now this season is already looking good. A win against Iowa Saturday carrying them to 4-0 would only add to the momentum and put them far ahead of schedule.
