Pittsburgh beat out Ohio State, Penn State & West Virginia to land 4-Star CB Jordan Whitehead

The Pittsburgh Panthers pulled off a huge coup on the recruiting trail Friday when they landed 4-Star cornerback Jordan Whitehead.

Jordan Whitehead had a final four of the Ohio State Buckeyes, Penn State Nittany Lions and West Virginia Mountaineers. The majority of those making projections believed Penn State would be the choice but he ultimately picked Pittsburgh.

The 6’0, 180-pounder is from Monaca, Pennsylvania and attends Central Valley High School. Jordan Whitehead is ranked as the country’s 20th-best cornerback prospect, the third-best overall prospect from the state of Pennsylvania and the 156th-best overall prospect in the class of 2015 according to 24/7 Sports’ composite rankings.

Jordan Whitehead is Pittsburgh’s 15th and highest-rated pledge. Pittsburgh’s class is ranked 40th in the country and 11th in the ACC.
