After missing the last three games, the Arizona State Sun Devils should have quarterback Taylor Kelly back under center when they take on Washington Huskies Saturday

More from Arizona State Sun Devils

Although the Arizona State Sun Devils lost a lot of talent from their Pac-12 South Champion squad last year, they believed they had a chance to repeat as division champions with quarterback Taylor Kelly back.

The Sun Devils got off to a perfect 3-0 start but Taylor Kelly was hurt in a 38-24 win over the Colorado Buffaloes. He missed their next game, a 62-27 loss to the UCLA Bruins and hasn’t played since.

His backup, Mike Bercovicic, has played very well, leading the Sun Devils to wins over the USC Trojans and Stanford Cardinal in each of the last two weeks, prompting many to wonder if Mike Bercovici should keep the job.

According to Jeff Metcalfe of AzCentral Sports, Todd Graham expects Taylor Kelly to start when the Sun Devils take on the Washington Huskies Saturday night.

That isn’t a huge surprised – Taylor Kelly has had an excellent career and played well before the injury. He’s completed 42-of-68 passes for 625 yards with six touchdowns and no interceptions while Mike Bercovici has completed 101-of-163 passes for 1,322 touchdowns with 10 touchdowns and two interceptions.
