The Pac-12 remains one of the deepest, if not the deepest conference in college football right now. We have been stressing this every week, but every week the conference keeps providing us with a plethora of extremely exciting games. At this point, Pac-12 games have been by far the most fun to watch in all of college football.

Last week’s version of Pac-12 football brought us an overtime Thursday night game between Oregon State and Utah, and then Saturday brought us a thriller between UCLA and Cal. Ironically, though, this was the first weekend that not every game was exciting. The three other Pac-12 games were duds. But it helped us as we put together our Pac 12 Power Rankings for this week.

More from Arizona State Sun Devils

Another odd turn of events from this past weekend took place when the higher ranked Pac-12 team in our power rankings and those of other analysts won every game. Throughout the year the trend has been for the higher ranked Pac-12 team to lose, but they all came through on Saturday.

That made our power rankings a little bit trickier, ironically, because there appears to have been enough to be a shake-up, but what do you shake up when all of the favorites won? Yes, that’s the odd situation we were in, but we’re now finished with Week 8 and more than half the season.

So with an understanding that almost every team is on equal footing, here are our Pac 12 Power Rankings following Week 8 of the college football season.
