Ohio State finishes their spring practice with their spring game on Saturday and these are the top five storylines I’ll be watching for from the Buckeyes.

Urban Meyer and the defending national champion Ohio State Buckeyes close spring practice with their spring game from the Horseshoe on Saturday afternoon, but there won’t be many answers at the quarterback position like everyone wants.

More from Big Ten

The Buckeyes have the best quarterback depth chart in the country with Braxton Miller, J.T. Barrett and Cardale Jones but only Jones will be on the field for the spring game with the other two recovering from injuries suffered last season. But it will be an important day to see how much Jones has grown since his legendary three-game stretch last year that culminated with a national title win over Oregon.

He has taken all the starter’s reps this spring and those extra reps could prove beneficial when Miller and Barrett enter the competition in the spring. That plotline has dominated the headlines, but there is plenty to be intrigued by with the Buckeyes spring game on Saturday outside of the quarterback position.

The starters get all the headlines, and there are some new starters, particularly on defense I can’t wait to see in action and some former top recruits vying for playing time in a reserve role who could be x-factors for another title run.

So with that said, here are the top five storylines/players I’m watching for on Saturday.
