One day after de-commiting from Tennessee, four-star offensive lineman Brodarious Hamm announced that he would be an Auburn Tiger.

On Sunday, it was 2016 reported that 2016 four-star offensive lineman Brodarious (Griffin Ga. Spaulding) decommitted from the Tennessee Volunteers, and that Auburn was in the lead for his services. Monday that line of thinking was confirmed to be correct as Hamm committed to Auburn, saying that he “went with his heart.”

Hamm is the No. 309 player in his class, the No. 32 offensive tackle, and the No. 24 player in the Peach State per the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

He visited the campus last week, spending time with head man Gus Malzahn, offensive line coach J.B. Grimes and defensive line coach Rodney Gardner. The duo handled Hamm’s recruitment, with Gardner taking the primary recruiter role and Grimes handling the secondary role.

This commitment continues what has been a spectacular month for Auburn on the recruiting trail. The 2016 class stands at 11 commitments strong with five just in the month of June. Quarterback Woody Barrett, Hamm, and cornerback Jamarcus King are all four-star caliber players and all are expected to make an impact.

What strikes me most about Hamm is his size. Measuring at 6-foot-5, 320 pounds, he should be an anchor for the offensive line during his time with the program. It seems as though Auburn has covered all the bases so far for 2016, and it will be interesting to see if the 2016 class can feed off of one another. Will the protection of Hamm contribute to successful campaigns for Barrett in the future? As I see it, yes. While Hamm will not be the only offensive lineman out there, his size and skill will be enough to create a major impact, and that may translate to a successful season for the program.
