Which college football players will emerge this year and become a certified star after having a breakout season in 2015? 

Every year we see a number of players rise from relative obscurity to win a starting job and become a household name.

Last year it was Trevone Boykin, Dak Prescott, J.T. Barrett and Cardale Jones who were among the biggest breakout stars in college football. The year before them it was Jameis Winston and before him it was Johnny Manziel who came out of nowhere to have the biggest spotlight in the sport.

This year features an impressive wave of young talent, with many from the 2014 recruiting class, who hope to follow in the footsteps of those names and compete for the Heisman, conference and national championships.

These players may have gotten a little taste of the limelight in their careers but for the most part have had to take a redshirt, serve as a backup to a star player or miss time after transferring. However, now they’re poised to breakout in a big way with their biggest and best opportunity in front of them.
