The Fighting Irish have one of the best uniforms in the sport and their gold helmet is arguably the most iconic look and recognizable brands in professional or amateur sports and the new look from Under Armour embraces the school’s traditional look.

These uniforms aren’t going to be confused with the flashy and flamboyant looks of Oregon or Maryland who sport some of the most lavish and colorful uniforms in college football and that’s a great thing.
Schools like Oregon and Maryland can have that style but that wouldn’t fly at Notre Dame where Touchdown Jesus most definitely wouldn’t approve of some gaudy eyesore for the sake of selling some Under Armour merchandise.

The ‘virtually ungrabbable’ will surely be put to the test this season but could technology prevent the Irish from being held this year, then more schools will be lining up for the stronger, lighter, virtually ungrabbable jerseys from Under Armour.
