Ty Isaac’s 76-yard TD is Michigan’s longest run since 2012 (Video)
Michigan running back Ty Isaac broke loose for the longest run for the Wolverines in three seasons.
The Michigan Wolverines coaches and fans were optimistic USC transfer Ty Isaac would be able to make a tremendous impact in his first year as an eligible player after sitting out last year per NCAA transfer rules.
Well, on Saturday, the former five-star recruit showed that optimism was deserved as he got loose for a 76-yard touchdown run to give Michigan a 21-0 lead over UNLV.
We see touchdown runs like this every week, but for Michigan, they haven’t seen something like this in many, many, many weeks. In fact, this was the longest run by a Michigan player since Denard Robinson has a 79-yard touchdown run back in 2012.
So needless to say that was a welcome sight for Michigan fans who should see their team improve to 2-1 on the year with a big game next weekend coming up against a BYU team that has been impressive in their first two games and face UCLA later on Saturday.
For Isaac, maybe this run is what gets him going in the Michigan offense and he can fulfill those lofty projections when he was a five-star recruit out of Joliet Catholic high school in Illinois.
