AP All-ACC Team: Clemson, Florida State tied with most selections

The AP-All ACC team was released on Friday and the Clemson Tigers have the offensive and defensive players of the year in Deshaun Watson and Shaq Lawson.

The Clemson Tigers are the ACC Champions and are tied with the Florida State Seminoles for the most first-team selections on the 2015 AP All-ACC team that was released on Thursday.

Headlining the selections is Heisman finalist and Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson who was also named the ACC offensive player of the year. Watson is joined by Florida State running back Dalvin Cook who was among the biggest Heisman snubs this year and Pittsburgh wide receiver Tyler Boyd who could be a first round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.

The defensive selections are again headlined by a Clemson player with Shaq Lawson taking the ACC defensive player of the year honors. He is joined by All-Americans Jalen Ramsey from Florida State and Duke Blue Devils senior safety and Ohio State transfer Jeremy Cash.

The Virginia Cavaliers tied with Clemson for the most defensive selections with Micah Kiser joining fellow safety Quin Blanding on the first team. Oddly enough, the Boston College Eagles had the nation’s No. 1 defense and No. 4 scoring defense, but Connor Wujciak is the lone representative on the first team.
