Art Briles has deleted his twitter account as he runs and hides after being fired by Baylor for failing to take sexual assault accusations against his players seriously.

Art Briles won a lot of games during his eight years on the sidelines in Waco, but he won’t win any more games after he was fired on Thursday in the wake of an ongoing sexual assault scandal.

Baylor has had two former football players convicted of rape charges and a third player, Shawn Oakman was arrested before the NFL Draft in April on sexual assault charges. Further, a report from Outside The Lines says Baylor officials and some football coaches knew of more assaults that weren’t reported to the media because the police were covering it up.

There was only one choice for Baylor after this damaging and heartbreaking news came to light and that was to clean house. Briles was the first step and it looks like university president Ken Starr will follow and athletic director Ian McCaw could be shown the door too.

When the news began to circulate that Briles was fired, he quickly deleted his twitter account as he showed true cowardice and ran away and hides after he was outed for protecting alleged rapists.

It is true. Coach Art Briles doesn’t exist, because he’s not a coach anymore and despite a 65-37 record in eight seasons at Baylor and two BCS bowl berths, he may not get a chance to coach again.

It was only recently that Briles tweeted an infographic touting all the academic accomplishments of his Baylor teams with the hashtags #TruthDontLie and #BeCourageous.

That tweet came the same day as the OTL report that had evidence there were more assault cases than the reported three cases and police were preventing it from getting out to the media and Baylor knew of the assaults and did nothing about it.

Art Briles is a coward who enabled rapists and jeopardized the safety and well-being of every female on the campus of Baylor and when he was outed for that, he ran away like the poor excuse for a human being that he is.
