Ranking the top 15 freshmen to watch in college football who should make significant contributions for their teams in their first season on campus.

Preseason camp is here and with it comes a whole new class of freshmen. This year’s class has a little bit of everything: punishing defenders, speedy wide receivers, and precision passers, among others. Every single player on this list was highly touted coming out of high school with many getting accolades left and right.

Then, with multiple offers on the table, they concluded the recruiting process on the first Wednesday in February with National Signing Day. There, the two worlds of high school and college football collided as they made their pledge on where they would call home over the next three-five years.

These young men look to work their way up to greatness in the college game and make a name for themselves in the process. Some will have to bide their time while others will have a shot to make an impact right away as a Day 1 starter.

Without further ado, we take a look at the 15 best impact freshman to watch for the 2016 season.
