Washington State vs Stanford live stream: Watch Cougars vs Cardinal online
Here’s how you can watch Saturday evening’s Washington State vs Stanford game from Stanford Stadium online.
Stanford is coming off one of its worst losses over the past decade. No, the Washington Huskies didn’t pull off an upset, but rather dragged the Cardinal through the mud on their way to a 44-6 victory. David Shaw is trying to rally the troops and show them that a playoff run is still possible.
Christian McCaffrey was held without a touchdown in the game, which might not seem like that big of a deal, but it is. In fact, McCaffrey has yet to score a touchdown in a true Pac-12 road game throughout his career. He still has accounted for 634 yards from scrimmage and three touchdowns this season, though.
Ryan Burns has taken over at quarterback, attempting to fill the shoes of one Kevin Hogan. He’s already proving to be a game-manager like his predecessor, passing for just 546 yards and four touchdowns in four games.
On the other side of the field, Washington State is just 2-2 to start the year. That might actually be a positive thing seeing as the Cougars were 0-2, losing to Eastern Washington and Boise State, before winning two straight against Idaho and Oregon. The confidence is headed in the right direction.
Luke Falk leads an elite passing attack, accounting for 1,495 yards and 12 touchdowns with a 73 percent completion rate. This should come as no surprise since he passed for over 4,500 yards a season ago.
That strong passing attack might actually help open up the run game. James Williams and Jamal Morrow don’t get enough credit for being solid running backs, but their each average more than 6.4 yards per carry and combine for 456 yards and six touchdowns on the ground.
