Fickle Tennessee fans are calling for Butch Jones’ head on a platter after getting destroyed by Alabama.

The Tennessee Volunteers have had a dream-like season up to this point, last-minute heroics helping them win some games they deserved to lose en route to a 5-0 start. But the Volunteers are dropping two games in a row after losing a close one to Texas A&M and then getting demolished by Alabama at home.

Tennessee fans were quick to forget the 5-0 start and before the game against Alabama was even officially in the books, Volunteers fans were already calling for head coach Butch Jones to be ousted.

This isn’t the first time fans have used this hashtag to share their feelings about Jones. Everytime the Volunteers were down this seemed to gain traction on Twitter. This time it doesn’t look like Tennessee will be mounting a miraculous comeback however.

Tennessee fans should appreciate what they have in Butch Jones, there is no guarantee they could get a quality replacement.

Look how USC has struggled to find a head coach in the post-Pete Carroll era. Or even the struggles the Texas Longhorns have had post-Mack Brown.

Alabama is a quality team, and certainly no one wants to be blown out, but this isn’t the worse loss the school could’ve suffered.
