The Oklahoma Sooners absolutely dominated the Kansas Jayhawks on Saturday night, but this interception for a touchdown from Jordan Evans essentially sealed the game.

Heading into Saturday’s game with a 1-6 record, no one was expecting the Kansas Jayhawks to do much against the No. 16 Oklahoma Sooners. Not surprisingly, this game was well out of hand early in the second half.

The Sooners absolutely dominated the first half of Saturday’s game, leading 28-3 going into the locker room at halftime. Things quickly got even more embarrassing for the Jayhawks in the third quarter, with the Sooners scoring 21 points in a little over seven minutes in the third quarter.

That third touchdown in the third quarter perhaps perfectly summed up the entire game. Kansas quarterback Montell Cozart threw an interception to Jordan Evans. The Oklahoma senior linebacker then ran around for a while before finding a hole and taking off for a 33-yard interception return for a touchdown.

You can watch the pick six in the video below.

It was a rough start to the season for the Sooners, losing two of their early season contests to the Ohio State Buckeyes and Houston Cougars. Now, the Sooners are turning things around, and assuming that they win Saturday (which is all but guaranteed to happen), Oklahoma will be moving to 6-2 on the year.

They may not be playing for the College Football Playoff, but if they can win out the rest of the season, the Sooners may very well be playing for the Big 12 championship and a potential berth in a New Years Six bowl game.
