The Miami Hurricanes and West Virginia Mountaineers face off in the Russell Athletic Bowl from Orlando, Florida on December 28. Here is how you can watch the game online.

The West Virginia Mountaineers enter the Russell Athletic Bowl ranked 14th in the AP Poll with a 10-2 record. It is the Mountaineers first 10-win season since 2011. Head coach Dana Holgorsen may be on to something in Morgantown. West Virginia finished second in the Big 12 this season at 7-2 behind Oklahoma.

Running back Justin Crawford ran for 1,168 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns this season for West Virginia. Crawford ranks third in the Big 12 in rushing yards. Quarterback Skyler Howard threw for 3,194 passing yards and 26 passing touchdowns for the Mountaineers as well. Howard ranks fourth in the conference in passing yards and third in passing touchdowns.

The Miami Hurricanes enter the Russell Athletic Bowl with an 8-4 record. The Hurricanes won four straight games to close out their regular season schedule. They struggled a bit after starting the season 4-0 before losing four straight games. But, they managed to string together another winning streak to finish the season strong.

The Hurricanes defense allows just 18.9 points per game, which ranks 14th in the FBS. They did not allow more than 28 points in each of their final four games.

On the offensive side of things, quarterback Brad Kaaya is still standing strong. Kaaya threw for a career-high 3,250 passing yards and 23 passing touchdowns for Miami this season. Running back Mark Walton ran for 1,065 rushing yards and 14 rushing touchdowns as well to power the offense.

Matchup to Watch for: The West Virginia Mountaineers are on a two-game winning streak, but they haven’t faced a defense like Miami’s all season. The Hurricanes haven’t won a bowl game in 10 years. Look for the Hurricanes defense to play with an extra chip on their shoulder against this Mountaineers offense. Some added tension comes with this game which makes for some fun as well as added drama.
