Coming back from a tough loss against Alabama, Ole Miss football will get a chance to gain some much-needed momentum against Kent State.

How does one come back from a 62-7 throttling at the hands of Alabama? For Ole Miss, it just needs to move forward like nothing happened. Burn the tape, get back on the field and move on as if all 2018 goals are still ahead of the Rebels.

Ole Miss has a chance to rebound this week against Kent State. The Golden Flashes are in a much worse place, at just 1-2 on the season with a loss to hapless Illinois and a blowout defeat against Penn State just one week ago.

The Rebels could use a confidence-boosters, and this one should be just that. However, there’s a chance this team could be on upset alert after a crushing defeat in Week 3.

It’s time to be bold ahead of the Ole Miss vs. Kent State matchup.

3. Jordan Ta’amu gets five total touchdowns

Rebounding from his worst performance of the season and arguably the ugliest outing of his career, Jordan Ta’amu will bounce back in a big way against the Golden Flashes.

The senior quarterback has had a strong season despite his 7-for-22 performance against Alabama. He has thrown for 917 yards and eight touchdowns with his only two picks coming against the Tide. He has also completed nearly 60 percent of his passes which is impressive given the fact that he had a 32 percent completion rate last week.

Kent State’s passing defense doesn’t stand a chance against the Rebel quarterback as he accounts for five total touchdowns yes again, passing for over 300 yards and completing 74 percent of his throws. This is the bounce-back game that he needs after the Alabama thrashing.
