Notre Dame football got back to its dominant ways against Duke, but Navy could have something to say in what should be an exciting affair.

The Irish will face off against Navy in what will officially be the 91st ever meeting between these two programs. With Navy currently sitting at No. 23 in the nation, the Midshipmen could serve as Notre Dame’s second top 25 win of the season (the other being Virginia) after blowing opportunities against the likes of Georgia and Michigan.

The Irish head into this matchup with more momentum than they’ve had in weeks after taking down Duke by a score of 38-7 on the road. Quarterback Ian Book set a record as the only player in Notre Dame history to throw for four touchdowns and rush for 100 yards. In light of the season Book has had, Irish fans hope that this trend will continue (minus the two picks) as the regular season comes to a close.

We’ll see if Book can build on this against Navy, but there are a few other things to look out for as well in a matchup of this caliber. It’s not often that both the Irish and Midshipmen are ranked at the time of their annual meeting, so expect the rivalry to be even more fueled this weekend. With that said, here are a few bold predictions for the Irish as they look for their eighth win on the year.
