Jake Bentley has decided to transfer to the Utah football program and here’s why he could lead the Utes to the playoff in 2020.

Losing Tyler Huntley isn’t going to be an easy pill to swallow for Kyle Whittingham and Utah football. The three-year starter took over in 2017 and has been under center ever since — though he did miss some time with injuries.

Huntley nearly led Utah to the College Football Playoff this season after an 11-1 regular season. All he needed was to overcome Oregon in the Pac-12 title game, but the Ducks were too much for the senior quarterback and the Utes.

In fact, Huntley had one of his worst games of the year, but that shouldn’t overshadow the job he’s done this season in his best campaign as a Ute.

Finding a replacement for Huntley wasn’t going to be easy, but it looks as if that major question mark has been answered in the form of South Carolina grad transfer Jake Bentley who missed most of this season. He decided to enter the the transfer portal and landed on Utah as his next destination which could be a perfect match for both sides.

So why will Bentley be the quarterback to take the Utes to the playoff?
