Last Game: Defeated Oklahoma Sooners 40-6 in the Russell Athletic Bowl

No Tajh Boyd and Sammie Watkins? No problem. Dabo Swinney has proven that he has a football program right now in Clemson, S.C., and recruiting indicates that it’s only going to get better. With such a thrashing of the Oklahoma Sooners in the Russell Athletic Bowl, Swinney’s team finished the year 10-3.

Their only losses were to Georgia, Florida State, and Georgia Tech. None of those are bad losses, and they still managed impressive wins against Louisville, Boston College, and South Carolina in addition to Oklahoma. This team was very good the entire season, but what this season really proved was the state of the football program.

These Tigers are right where Swinney wanted them to be, and they are just around the corner from becoming a consistent national title contender if he stays around.

Another Top 25 finish shows that.
