15. UCLA Bruins, 10-3 (6-3)

Last Game: Defeated Kansas State Wildcats 40-35 in the Alamo Bowl

With a 10-3 finish to the season, an Alamo Bowl victory, and quality wins scattered across the Pac-12, Jim Mora’s UCLA Bruins just about met expectations. They were the best team in the Pac-12 South despite not outright winning the division, and they are probably pulling their hair out over the fact that they didn’t win the division.

Still, this team looked good enough to the point that it could beat anybody on any given night if things go right. The Bruins clearly are in good hands with Mora as head coach, but there might be a bit of rebuilding next year. As far as the end of this year, they clearly deserved to be a Top 15 team to close out the year.

And wins against Memphis and Virginia weren’t so bad, but this was a judgment call to drop them to No. 15. That loss to Stanford at the end of the season with so much to play for was stinging, and it exposed a great deal about this football team right now.

We can’t put them in the Top 10 with that in mind.
