Leonard Fournette

Running Back, LSU Tigers

It has been a long time since I have witnessed a running back with this much hype coming out of high school, but there was plenty for the New Orleans native. Fournette had offers from well over 100 schools in the country and ended up staying in his home state. In his freshman year, Fournette broke the 1,000 yard mark totaling 1,034 yards to go along with 10 touchdowns. The freshman phenom is already being considered a Heisman candidate by some and it is only his sophomore season. Some might even say when they read this article that he is ranked too low. I say hold your horses.

As great of a product as Fournette can be, he will now have a target on his back this season. I want to see what he can do as the full-time starter this season before I hand the Heisman off to him. I have to admit though, he has the power and speed many only dream of, and he showed that off against Notre Dame, making the Fighting Irish look like 3A high school kids at times.
