Dorial Green-Beckham – Oklahoma
Green-Beckham is another high-risk guy that slipped out of the first. However, unlike Gregory and Collins, Green-Beckham hasn’t played in a year. He has major off the field concerns about his work ethic, domestic violence, and drugs.
He was arrested his freshman year for possession of marijuana and was given a one game suspension. He found himself in a familiar spot sophomore year when he was arrested for having a full pound of pot. Green-Beckham’s had many other run-ins with the law over the issue of marijuana during his college career. NFL teams have to be worried about this issue, especially with the Josh Gordon situation in Cleveland; you can’t help your team if you’re not on the field, Dorial.
It doesn’t stop at drugs, however. Green-Beckham was dismissed from Missouri after he reportedly broke into his girlfriend’s house and throwing someone down some stairs in a fit of anger. This also does not bode well for him in a post-Ray Rice world.
If NFL teams can get past all the off-the-field issues, they will end up with a talented, tall receiver. Personally, I’m rooting for Green-Beckham to get drafted and turn his life around. Hopefully he’s reflected from his past mistakes and moved on after sitting out of football for a year.
Teams to watch for: Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tennessee Titans, San Francisco 49ers
