Landon Collins – Alabama
I can already hear hordes of people complaining that Collins is too low on this list, however he’s not as talented as some may think. Collins is next in line of the Alabama defensive back dynasty, and will most likely come off the board early in the second.
Landon Collins is not a free safety at the next level; he’s more of a strong safety-type. Collins is a good run defender and can be a force down in the box, much like Mark Barron. Alabama defensive backs have struggled in the NFL recently, so I’d assume that’s another reason Collins has slid.
Regardless, he’s still a talented player that could fit many NFL teams in the top half of the second round.
Teams to watch for: Jacksonville Jaguars, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, New York Giants
