Jeff Driskel is no longer in Gainesville to the delight of Gators fans everywhere. Treon Harris started down the stretch for the Gators last year as a true freshman and showed some flashes of being a nice player.

He is competing with fellow 2014 signee Will Grier for the starting job in Jim McElwain’s offense, but if McElwain thinks both these players are another year away from being able to lead the Gators to some wins, they could make sense for Golson to finish his career.

Plus, he would join the exodus of people from the Midwest heading south to Florida to retire. He could go out on a high note in The Swamp and restore the pride in the quarterback position at Florida and if McElwain can turn Garrett Grayson into a third round pick in the NFL Draft, think what he can do with Golson.
