The last time Alabama traveled to Georgia it was a blackout game, and ESPN’s College Gameday was on the scene. Alabama won that game, 41-30, knocking off Matthew Stafford’s third ranked Bulldogs.
This year’s game features the two teams picked to win their divisions by the SEC media and the loser could see their plans of playing in the SEC Championship Game come to a crashing halt.
Alabama and Georgia football are a must-watch against any team, but when these two teams play each other, you truly get the highest quality of football around. It’s tough to beat and if you’re not watching, I’m not sure what’s wrong with you.

Alabama and Georgia haven’t met in the regular season since 2008, but the Crimson Tide and Bulldogs need no extra hype to make this a must-see game.
The Crimson Tide and Bulldogs last met in the 2012 SEC Championship game. Alabama defeated the Bulldogs that day, 32-28, led by Eddie Lacy’s 181 yards on the ground. Lacy averaged 9.1 yards per carry that day, and his backup, T.J. Yeldon also ran for 150 yards in the Crimson Tide’s defeat of the third ranked Bulldogs.
