The World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party saw the Will Muschamp-led Florida Gators upset Mark Richt’s Georgia Bulldogs, snapping the Dawgs three-game winning streak in the rivalry game between SEC East foes.
Georgia has lost two of their last three games since the devastating season-ending injury to running back Nick Chubb and in their win against Missouri last week only managed to get three field goals. Meanwhile, Florida had last week off after suffering their first loss of the year to LSU and that should have benefitted Treon Harris as he gets ready to make his second straight start in the wake of Will Grier’s one-year suspension.
Everything that could go wrong for Georgia in the last three weeks has gone wrong but I think that changes from Jacksonville’s EverBank Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Georgia has to rely on Sony Michel with ongoing concerns at quarterback and trust the defense can disrupt Harris enough to keep the Gators out of synch and out of the end zone.

Unlike last year’s 18-point win for Florida, I think this game follows the recent trend when these two meet and will be a one-possession game with the Georgia defense getting a crucial stop or forcing a late turnover to give Georgia a much-needed 24-23 win.
