Rutgers Scarlet Knights

All-Time Program Record: 641–621–42

The birth of college football and the “championship” 1-1 season in 1869 not withstanding, this has been about as mediocre of a football program as you’ll ever see.

Rutgers is the state university of New Jersey, and it’s surprising to see how many really talented players in that state go the far reaches of the nation rather than attending school in their home state. The move to the Big Ten has made that recruiting struggle even worse for the Scarlet Knights.

The program has only one conference championship to their credit, but does have a winning postseason bowl record at 6-4, but only 10 postseason games from a school credited with being an inventor of the game is nothing to brag on.
