2. Michigan State (10-1, 6-1)

The Spartans rode Connor Cook’s right arm to nine wins. Michigan State relied on an old mainstay to knock off Ohio State and shake up the Big Ten. The Spartans defense showed up in a mighty way to put the clamps on J.T. Barrett and company. Ohio State could only muster two miniscule scoring drives (32 and 6 yards) after Michigan State turnovers. Cook should be back to help the Spartans clear the final hurdle (Penn State) to a Big Ten Eastern Division Title.

1. Iowa (11-0, 7-0)

One to go or the clock strikes midnight? Which will it be on Black Friday when the Hawkeyes travel to Lincoln. Despite the large gap in wins, the Huskers should present a significant challenge. While Iowa has been the much more efficient and disciplined team, Nebraska players were more highly recruited and will be playing loose and fancy free against the Hawkeyes. C.J. Beathard‘s leadership, poise and playmaking ability may be needed more than ever as the Hawkeyes attempt to take that final step to Indianapolis without a loss.
