5. Miami Hurricanes – Mark Richt replaces Al Golden

It was no surprise that Miami fired Al Golden after parts of five seasons with the Canes. He just couldn’t get the program over the hump and after a 58-0 loss to Clemson, it was clear how far this program had to compete for ACC championships.

In comes Mark Richt who took the job three days after being fired from Georgia where he won 144 games over the last 15 years and had one of the most consistent programs in the country. Returning to his alma mater, Richt is a known commodity who will bring in top-10 recruiting classes as long as he’s at Miami and has a quarterback to develop in Brad Kaaya.

It won’t be a quick fix where Miami is beating Clemson and Florida State in 2016, but I think Richt can do for Miami what Jim Harbaugh did/is doing for Michigan and have them competitive.
