The quarterback situation for Nebraska isn’t entirely great. With Tommie Armstrong leaving after one more season, so Allen would essentially be penciled in as the starter.
They have one quarterback commit for the class of 2016, and he would be a redshirt freshman by the time Allen is ready to play his two years, giving Patrick O’Brien, the four-star commit, time to develop.
While Nebraska wasn’t around in Allen’s recruitment, given the quarterback depth and the opportunity to play for such a historic program, Allen could bring Nebraska back to prominence.
