Allen could come back home to Phoenix, just miles down the road from where he went to high school in Scottsdale. Todd Graham has established something at Arizona State and has a chance to get four straight eight-win seasons after the Cactus Bowl vs. West Virgina.

Quarterbacks in this system have had a good amount of success, with Taylor Kelly and Mike Bercovici faring well. Late in the season, the Sun Devils were working Manny Wilkins into the offense, usually in run game situations, and he was fairly effective for getting his first look at the field.

Much like Arizona, Arizona State is stockpiling quarterbacks, and will have a good amount of depth in the future. While the addition of Allen would bump a guy like Wilkins out, it would give the other four-star quarterbacks on the roster, Brady White and Dillon Sterling-Cole time to develop.

One problem could be the departure of offensive coordinator Mike Norvell to Memphis. He was the brain behind the operation on offense, and was a great quarterbacks coach. But being so close to home, in one of the best divisions in college football, able to compete for a Pac-12 Championship, this isn’t a bad look.
