The Fiesta Bowl usually proves to be one of the more interesting games to watch, and watching traditional powers Ohio State and Notre Dame clash will be a classic.

It would be nice if they’d pick a sponsor and stick with it….BattleFrog?

The Buckeyes waded through their easy schedule, looking beatable but never being beaten, until they faced Michigan State. That single loss compounded with the light opponents kept Ohio State out of the playoffs. Their quarterback play has been sporadic, and Braxton Miller and Ezekiel Elliot have been the lone bright spots on what was supposed to be an unstoppable offense.

The Fighting Irish had a schedule which looked tougher at the start of the year, but as each week passed, it was clear some of their victories weren’t as good as once thought (Texas, Georgia Tech, USC). Still, they kept it together despite an unreal number of key injuries, including the starting quarterback…twice, and put together a fine season.

These two should play more often and develop a more heated rivalry.

Line: Ohio State, -6.5

I’ll buy into a Buckeyes win, but it won’t be by nearly a touchdown. This will be a close one coming down to the end. Take the Irish to beat any spread above 3.
