San Jose State vs. Georgia State

Dec. 19, 7 p.m. on CBSSN
Another yawner in an inaugural bowl we probably don’t need featuring Georgia State in their first ever bowl appearance since the football program was launched in 2010. Only five seasons to get to a bowl playing three years of FBS football really isn’t that bad, it’s the fact that they went from zero wins, to one win and then up to six wins that made everyone in Atlanta jump.
San Jose State is a more seasoned program, and plays in the much tougher Mountain West Conference. However, they are a 5-7 team playing postseason ball. Anyone else for change in this system?
One team has never had a postseason berth, the other hopes to reach .500 with a bowl win. Yuck. At least GSU scheduled Oregon this season.
Line: San Jose State, -3
I don’t know why, but something tells me that Georgia State is treating this game with much more appreciation and urgency than SJS. Take the Panthers to at least beat the 3, possibly win the game.
