21. A.J. Brown

  • Location/High School: Starkville MS./Starkville
  • 247Sports Composite Rank: No. 59
  • 247Sports Position Rank: No. 6 WR

A.J. Brown is one of the many dynamic wideouts in this class. With 11 offers in total, teams have taken notice of his talent. As Signing Day approaches, it seems that the Bulldogs and the Alabama Crimson Tide are the two favorites to land the wideout. He has taken several visits to both schools, most recently November 14 to Mississippi and January 15 to Alabama. With that in mind, I see Brown joining an upstart Bulldog program and donning the Mississippi State hat come Signing Day.

Brown would be the first wideout in a Bulldog class that ranks No. 53 in the nation and No. 12 in the SEC per the 247Sports Composite Rankings. The class features two tight ends in three-star commit Dontea Jones (Matthews, NC. Jireh Prep) and Jordan Thomas (Decatur Prep. East Central C.C.)

Brown would fit into the Mississippi offense nicely as he possesses tremendous speed, particularly after the catch. As soon as he gets the ball, he turns quickly up the field and makes the most out of each possession. This would give an explosive Bulldog offense an extra weapon and make the job for SEC cornerbacks a lot more difficult.

Prediction: Mississippi State
