With his announcement coming on Friday, the consensus is that the five-star Lawrence  has a clear favorite leading up to his announcement and that he will commit to the Bayou and join Les Miles and the LSU Tigers.

LSU already has power at the defensive tackle position as he and Edwin Alexander represent the defensive tackles in the class. The combination of him and Alexander would be a force to be reckoned with in the Bayou.  A commitment from Lawrence would give the program, even more, talent at the position and add depth to what would be an already deep and talented defensive line.

His motor and ability to make impact plays would come in handy in what is expected to be another deep and talented year in the SEC. Should be commit to LSU, he would play a big part in ushering in another new wave of elite talent in Baton Rouge.

I see him staying in-state and going to the Tigers come Friday. It appears that they already have a solid defensive plan in place and Alexander figures to play a huge part in it. After what was a see-saw season that ended with an impressive 56-27 victory over Texas Tech in the Texas Bowl, I see the good mojo continuing in Baton Rouge.

Prediction: LSU
