7. Mique Juarez

  • Location/High School: Torrance, CA./North High School
  • 247Sports Composite Rank: No. 17
  • 247Sports Position Rank: No. 2 OLB

Juarez is not only one of best outside linebackers to come out of the 2016 class, he is also one of the best players in California. For that reason, the UCLA Bruins and the Ole Miss Rebels are two teams to watch out for come Signing Day. Even though Ole Miss is very much in the mix for Juarez, it would be a bit of a surprise if he did not stay in-state and join the Bruins.

Currently, the  2016 UCLA class boasts a plethora of talent as it has five four-star commitments in the class to this point. A pledge from Juarez would make it five. That is good enough for No. 19 in the country and No. 3 in the Pac-12 per the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

He possesses speed and is very fleet of foot, helping him shed blocks quickly and get to the ball carrier before the play develops. He would fill the void left by Myles Jack as the junior has decided to enter the NFL Draft. Juarez’ aggressive style of play should help the Bruins as they try to plug that hole.

UCLA has done a nice job on the recruiting trail and I do not expect that to change here. Jim Mora and his staff should be able to land this one.

Prediction: UCLA
