National Signing Day 2016: Predicting where top 30 uncommitted recruits sign
24. Nigel Warrior
- Location/High School: Suwanee GA./Peachtree Ridge
- 247Sports Composite Rank: No. 69
- 247Sports Position Rank: No. 4 Safety
With 29 offers in total, Nigel Warrior has plenty to choose from. However, it seems he has narrowed his list down to two teams, and while for many of these prospects the choice is clear, it seems to be anything but for Warrior as Tennessee is the favorite, but only by a slight margin as Alabama is in a close second. With that in mind, I would not be surprised to see him put on the hat of the Alabama Crimson Tide come Signing Day.
Alabama currently has one safety in what is a loaded 2016 class. Three-star commit Joshua Perry (Amite. Amite LA) fills that distinction. The class ranks No. 8 nationally and No. 5 in the SEC per the 247Sports Composite Rankings.
What he brings to the table is his height and athleticism. He is not the fastest safety, but when he does run, he takes long strides covering ground pretty quickly. He could bring to the Tide a versatile safety, and an addition run-stopper by staying in the backfield and not allowing a running back to get to the second level.
I see him going to Tuscaloosa and playing a key role in Nick Saban’s defense in the future.
Prediction: Alabama
Next: No. 23 David Long
