Alabama outside linebacker Tim Williams entered the 2015 season with a total of eight tackles, 2.5 tackles for a loss and 1.5 sacks in 19 games across his first two seasons. Even as a junior, Williams couldn’t crack the star-studded Crimson Tide starting lineup, but still managed to record a remarkable 12.5 TFLs and 10.5 sacks as a situational pass rusher.

Only teammate Jonathan Allen (12) and Texas A&M’s Myles Garrett (12.5) recorded more sacks among SEC football players in 2015 than Williams, who tallied a total of just 19 tackles over the course of the season. And, Williams didn’t feast on weak competition. Nine of his sacks came in conference play.

While Williams was projected as an early round draft pick if he decided leave Tuscaloosa, the 6-foot-4, 230-pounder will have an opportunity to prove himself to NFL scouts as an every-down player in 2016. Three of Alabama’s four starting linebackers have graduated.
