Alabama linebacker Reggie Ragland returned to school for his senior season and emerged as an All-American, the SEC Defensive Player of the Year, and as a finalist for every national defensive award. Ragland is now gone, but Reuben Foster will be back in Tuscaloosa in 2016 as a senior.

In his first season as a starter in 2015, Foster recorded 73 total tackles, which ranked second on the team behind Ragland, with two sacks and also broke up nine passes. Foster was at his most active against Clemson in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game, and tallied eight tackles in the victory.

Foster is the only returning starter for the Crimson Tide in the linebacker corps, and he should anchor the group in 2016. He also has the talent to follow in Ragland’s footsteps in becoming one of the best linebackers in the nation.
