The Florida Gators rode an elite defense to an unexpected ten-win season and SEC East division title in 2015. While the Gators will miss standout performers like defensive lineman Jonathan Bullard, linebacker Antonio Morrison and All-American cornerback Vernon Hargreaves III in 2016, there is still plenty of talent on the roster – led by cornerback Jalen Tabor.

Often playing the corner opposite Hargreaves, but also seeing time as a nickel back, Tabor recorded 40 tackles, four tackles for a loss, one sack, and intercepted four passes last season – two of which he returned for touchdowns.

Tabor also broke up 14 passes, which tied for the league league and also gave him a tie for the SEC lead with 18 total passes defended. While his overall production was boosted as a result of opponents choosing to throw away from Hargreaves, Tabor will be the cornerback SEC offenses try to avoid in 2016.
