Coming out of Florida, I like the comparison of Joe Haden for Vernon Hargreaves III. A bit lofty, yes. But both are extremely quick, can play press, go through a man or zone look. Hargreaves is a little smaller, checking in a 5’10” but he has a solid build at 204 pounds.

He’ll be a physical corner that can adjust on the fly. Having him as a stand alone corner might be tough, possibly projecting better as a nickel corner. He’ll be able to match up better against the smaller receivers, especially with his physicality, but his speed might be a corner.

One problem with Hargreaves is that he isn’t necessarily fast. He’s quick, but not fast. He can move his feet to get in position and press the receiver, but if he gets beat, there’s no telling if he’ll be able to recover. You’re not going to be able to find the perfect corner in the draft, so his speed or lack thereof shouldn’t play a huge role. After all, he is a projected top-10 pick.
