Sept 3 – Northern Iowa – Prediction: W 38-7

Matt Campbell’s tenure gets off to a good start against FCS Northern Iowa.

Sept 10 – @Iowa – Prediction: L 10-21

The battle for the Cy-Hawk trophy is always a good rivalry matchup, the Hawkeyes however will be a very talented team and win the trophy for the second straight season.

Sept 17 – @TCU – Prediction: L 17-27

In the first Big 12 matchup of the season the Horned Frogs take care of business at home.

Sept 24 – San Jose State – Prediction: W 31-10

Running back Mike Warren gets going in an easy win for the Cyclones

Oct 1 – Baylor – Prediction: L 21-35

Baylor’s offense proves too much for the Cyclones.

Oct 8 – @Oklahoma State – Prediction: L 28-42

After almost pulling the upset last season, Iowa State doesn’t prove as difficult for the Cowboys in Stillwater.

Oct 15 – @Texas – Prediction: L 21-17

After last years 24-0 Cyclone shutout victory, the longhorns get revenge at home.

Oct 29 – Kansas State – Prediction: L 17-35

Last year’s Farmageddon was the nail in the coffin for coach Paul Rhodes after the Cyclones blew a 35-14 halftime lead by allowing 10 points in the final 45 seconds to lose 38-35. This year the Cyclones don’t have the chance to blow it.

Nov 3 – Oklahoma – Prediction: L 42-14

The Sooners look to be a playoff contender by this time and easily handle the Cyclones.

Nov 12 – @Kansas – Prediction: W 27-10

Iowa State has no trouble with the Jayhawks.

Nov 19 – Texas Tech – Prediction: L 21-24

Jack Trice stadium is rocking but the Cyclones cant quite pull off the upset.

Nov 26 – West Virginia – Prediction: L 14-17

Cyclones lose a close win to end the season.

Final Record: 3-9 (1-8 Big12) 9th place in Big 12
