4. Anthony McFarland Jr.

  • Houston,  TX
  • 247Sports Composite Ranking: No. 52
  • Position Ranking: No. 4 All-purpose back

McFarland is quick and displays excellent vision when running the football. He is a patient runner and follows his blocks, focusing on getting yards instead of making the big, flashy play.

Teams have taken notice as he has received 29 offers and counting.  The leading candidate at the moment appears to be the Georgia Bulldogs, while trailing in second are the Miami Hurricanes.

Recently, he received a visit from Hurricanes coach Thomas Brown, a little more than a month after he was offered by Louisville. April, in particular, was a busy month for him as he took two unofficial visits to Maryland on the 9th and 16th.

Where will McFarland go? I think he will go to Miami. In the run-heavy ACC, his style of play will give defenses fits and the way he runs will allow him to become a playmaker in the offense, just like Duke Johnson was when he was a ‘Cane. He fits that same mold.

Prediction: Miami
