3. Khalan Laborn

  • Virginia Beach, VA
  • 247Sports Composite Ranking: No. 39
  • Position Ranking: No. 2 All-purpose back

Laborn is a sure-handed running back and can line up in a wide receiver position if need be. He also welcomes contact and is not afraid to face defenders head-on. In high school, he was particularly effective at running option plays something that could translate very well into the collegiate ranks.

Accruing 21 offers in total, Florida State appears to be the favorite right now for Laborn. Auburn and North Carolina are also thought to be in the mix. He attended the Seminoles Junior Day on February 27 and took an unofficial visit to the campus on April 9 for the spring game. On June 3, he announced his Top Eight schools and Auburn and Florida State were both in that mix.

The Seminoles would be the best fit for him. Florida State’s offense is running back-friendly and we have seen the numbers that Dalvin Cook has put up in that system. There is no reason Laborn, a four-star recruit can’t do the same.

Prediction: Florida State
