Another quarterback that many might not have heard of, Taylor Lamb has proven himself to be more than adequate in his time as the starting quarterback for the Mountaineers.
Lamb led the Mountaineers to a 10-2 regular season record and helped lead the team to a victory in the Camellia Bowl against Ohio; the game was also Appalachian State’s first ever bowl game.
Lamb returns for his junior season to lead the Mountaineers to the Sun Belt title and to another bowl victory.
Lamb is helped out on offense by a great and deep backfield. The part of the offense that could possibly affect Lamb negatively is the lack of depth at the receiving position. Only Shadon Meadors returns to the lineup at wide receiver from last year’s team. Lamb does have a great tight end to get the ball too in, Barrett Burns.
While the Mountaineers will have a mostly new receiving corps, Lamb should once again excel in the offense.
